Festina Lenté now a days: four boys, four characters, four creative minds. Making music for pleasure, making music for everyone and making music on a professional level with a self-named quality standard: lunametal. Festina Lenté is founded in August 2001 in Limburg, the Netherlands. Festina Lenté is: Rémy (vocals / bass), Rick (guitars), Rutger (guitars) en Martijn (drums).
In August 2003 the band released their first EP ‘Welcome to the Lunapark’, which is received well by the (inter-)national media. In cooperation with The Freestylerz an animation video clip of the single ‘Trance’ was made and broadcast by e.g. MTV – the Netherlands.Festina Lenté latest release ‘LunaWorld’ – March 2005 – exists out of four complementary artistically parts. In cooperation with artists from different artistic backgrounds the EP contains: video: the video clip ‘Trance’; visual art: exclusive artwork and design by painter and graphic designer Matthy Piebes; multimedia: an interactive fairy tale, named ‘Trance - your sequel’, and audio: three new songs of Festina Lenté, produced by Gail Liebling. Again the media was impressed.
In 2006 Festina Lenté will release their long-awaited full-length debut-album. Recordings will take place in early spring 2006.
