Raimond D. played in several bands but in the year 2000 he felt the need to start with his own band.
He wanted to play his music and looked around for the right musicians.
By coincidence he found a note with the text:” drummer and guitarist are looking for metal-band" in a rehearsal studio.
He made an appointment with the 2 musicians (Ramon and Leon) and after a while he stepped into the cellar at the drummer’s home.
What he heard was what he was searching for; they were playing a song from Slayer.
At first Leon wasn't interested because Raimond's ideas weren't comparable with his thoughts about music.
So they went to rehearse in another line-up; Drum, one guitar and a female bass player.
After a while they recorded some songs and Ramon went to Leon to let him listen to it.
On that moment Leon wanted to try playing with them but there still wasn't a complete line-up.
At the time the band name was Contradiction.
In that time they played with several singers but none of them stayed long enough.
Another problem occurred; the bass player quitted and the band was back to the beginning.
After a year they finally found a new bass player; he mostly played Jazz and blues but fitted in Contradiction and learned some metal-techniques.
Due to circumstances after 3 months he also had to quit.
After a short period they met Martijn Brauwers who liked the sound of Contradiction.
At that time Martijn was also playing as guitarist in the band OPUS NOCTURE.
When they heard Martijn was leaving Opus in a short time they asked him to play bass in Contradiction.
Martijn started to play then.
In that period they found out that the name Contradiction isn’t an original name and started to think of another one.
So they came up with Contradefused.
For 1.5 years they played with Martijn but had to find another drummer again and found him.
In the meanwhile they had one gig; without a singer in a local pub called smily’s.
After this period Martijn stopped playing with Contradefused and found his roots in the Dutch band Morning as guitarist.
Half a year later Raimond met an old friend and asked him if he would like to sing in Contradefused; he said yes and is still their singer nowadays.
He also met his first guitar teacher some weeks later and after some drinks he asked him if he was interested in playing bass with them, and he was and still is.
Finally after 2.5 years Contradefused was complete and in the last 3 months 2003 they played 6 gigs.
Their purpose for 2004 is to make a demo-cd and to see a lot of stage.
